“You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your clothes every day. This is a power you can cultivate. If you want to control things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That’s the only thing you should be trying to control.”― Elizabeth Gilbert
Hello, people! It’s me again, Daria. I’m in the mood to socialize (virtually) lately so here I am. And since I started this post about socializing, might as well tell you more about it.
I’ve met a few people in the past few days. Thanks to Mutzii for being such an accepting wife when it comes to social life and thanks to the Internet for making it possible to make friends – without the need to go out the house. LOL. Because I can be friendly but lazy at the same time. That’s why long-distance type of friendship really works for me, at least for now. The only thing that makes me (us) quite nervous about is when that virtual friend suddenly wants to come and visit us. We’re the type of person who prefers to come over to visit a friend than to invite them over to our house. I guess that’s because we both know that we’re not really a good host. I don’t have a great sense of humour, while the wife has panic attacks when we have guests at home and most especially when it comes to preparing food. Oh God, you don’t wanna know what happened to our kitchen the last time she hosted a house party. The food was great like she can be a real chef. But the kitchen was seriously in its most disastrous state. Not because she’s messy but because stress makes it hard for her to focus. All things that she used for cooking pots to plates were in all corners of the kitchen. Haha! My poor love. It was our first and last attempt to hold a party at home. After that, it’s either we come and visit the friends at their home or invite them over for dinner in the restaurant.
Thank God because the virtual friends that I got to know are mostly from super far away land. I think we don’t have to worry about this at the moment. Although, one virtual friend has told me just a few days ago that she plans to visit us by the end of the year, or Christmas holiday. She better stays in a hotel or she better not come. LOL.
Meanwhile, here’s the outfit that I have worn a week (or two weeks) ago. I thought that was the last time that I could wear a shirt and joggers’ combo but luckily, our Autumn seems to be pretty warm this year. I even went out today and fetched Mutzii from her language school without wearing a jacket. I only wish it will be like this for long.
About the outfit
I’m completely enjoying playing with colors and prints lately. Mutzii has really opened my eyes and helped me realize that there’s more to life than wearing black or rebellious prints. I have to accept that punk days are gone and so with my old ‘hater of life’ self. With that being said, today’s outfit features a shirt with geometric prints. It’s dark colored and printed that makes it warm and it’s made of cotton that’s very comfortable to wear both for summer and autumn. And jogger pants, because what else can I say? Because I’m also into all things (matched with) jogger pants lately! Both items were from Dresslily.
