Hola!!

How have you been, lovelies? I know it’s been awhile again since the last time I have updated my blog but allow me to make up a bit with you today. 🙂 I have and had so much time but unfortunately my camera (actually all my gadgets) has/have different plugs which are not compatible with the German sockets. (Why Germany?) It was easy for me to find an alternative way to charge my other gadget like my Iphone and Mac, however, with my SLR, it was hard because we couldn’t charge it through a USB cable. We ordered a complete set of adapter in Amazon but when the order arrived, they were the wrong ones. Imagine my intense dismay? Good thing, I have a super nice friend who shipped her spare (left unused) adapter to me right away. I got it the next day and happily charged my camera. 😀

Now that I have my camera fully charged, guess what has been my next problem? My photographer. *rollingeyes* I still have to train her (my other half <3) more to find my beauty side. We tried today but we both ended up pissed off with each other. Me, giving her sullen look and in the verge of throwing tantrums because of not getting the perfect shots I want and she, annoyed at my (she said ‘aggressive’) fretting and being obsessive compulsive. But of course, who would want to publish poor quality photos, right? No one. Most especially if you are in a type of blogosphere where everyone is obsessed with aesthetics. My fellow bloggers and photographers absolutely know what I am talking about. You don’t need to be a pro to determine art and beauty. I think having a pair of sharp eyes is the secret to a perfect shot. Do you agree?

Anyhows, today’s post features my latest pair of shoes Nike SBBlazer Low GT (Summit White / Obsidian / University Red) which was purchased at hhv.de, see photos below:

Vintage

This OOTD post is actually long overdue. I started uploading the images a few weeks ago but I have been stuck with the reports that were also way behind schedule.

May was the most depressing month for me, and I truly struggled functioning properly at work. I’m just thankful enough right now because I was able to survive the most challenging days of my life. That’s because I have all the love in the world!

And because I feel good today, here’s the outfit combo I wore a few weeks back: One of my favourite vintage clothing combos!

‘To wear dreams on one’s feet is to begin to give a reality to one’s dreams.’ – Roger Vivier

I love green, yes. But I also love orange – especially of it’s made in suede. I am a big fan of suede + orange. That’s why when I saw this pair of orange gold flats at Parfois store in SM Megamall, I didn’t hesitate and purchased it instantly. Another thing was, it was on SALE at the time I bought it and it was the only pair that’s left. And my size, yay!

It has this casual yet classy feel that will look good on any outfit combo. I’m thinking of matching them with a pair of boyfriend jeans and a plain black shirt –my usual lazy style. What about you, dolls? How would you pair these shoes to your outfit combo?

Cinderella Surgery

at

“Unless you’ve been there, and you can’t find shoes, and you’re in pain, don’t judge.”

cinderella surgery

I’m not into cosmetic surgeries. People would always tease me of some of my obvious imperfections –flat chest, big nose, not so curvy hips and a lot more, but never did I ever thought of changing anything in my body. But just now – I’ve discovered something that’s about to change my perspective. I have realized that I cringed my feet so much that I am willing to look at the brighter side of cosmetic surgery. And I never thought that there’s one specifically done for the ugly feet – the Cinderella Surgery. It sounds bizarre especially in some cases where patients request to amputate their little toes, leaving only four piggies per foot! But looking at the beautiful side of it, it’s an instant solution to foot imperfections! And if I have the $$$, lots of it, I won’t mind going under the knife and having this imperfection perfected –yes, for the sake of being able to wear any kinds of shoes! I will probably have my annoying bunions removed. x

How about you lovelies? Would you have “Cinderella Surgery”?

Jack Purcell

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go…” ― Dr. Suess

Serendipity! Yep, I found this pair of Converse ― Jack Purcell edition vintage sneakers by accident! My sister and I were just walking around and it just happened that our favourite thrift shop had their new arrivals last Wednesday. I’ve got no plans spending on something not too important that day especially now that we’re on a tight budget week already (as expected after a few days or a week after pay day) but these shoes(!) were just sooo irresistible! I felt like it would be the end of the world if I didn’t buy it so I pulled out a few hundreds on my pocket without hesitation and went home with a mischievous, excited smile on my face. 😀

Did you know?

In the 1970s, Converse purchased the trademark rights to Jack Purcell sneakers – which it still produces and sells today. The shoe, which is similar in appearance to Converse’s Chuck Taylor All-Stars, can be distinguished by the signature “smile” across the toe.[3] Converse “Jack Purcells” are still popular – but more for their vintage fashion appeal than for athletic use. What do you think of my new vintage sneakers, lovelies?
