I’d like to share with everyone this comment I recently received from somebody. I have a strong feeling that she’s one of these people with a super locked up mind, whose brain only lies within the reach of what she believes in. BUT then who am I to judge? My blood usually boils whenever I encounter questions similar to this (say, you’re lesbian, how come you don’t dress like a boy? Or that being in the same sex relationship automatically makes me us a sinner). That’s a different topic but the level of shallowness is almost the same. So anyhows, I thank the sender for her very thoughtful inquiry because if not, I would not have come up with a blog post today.
“Families are messy. Immortal families are eternally messy. Sometimes the best we can do is to remind each other that we’re related for better or for worse…and try to keep the maiming and killing to a minimum.” ― Rick Riordan
Tomorrow will be the first day of ‘Ber’ months. The thought makes my heart jump with joy. In the Philippines, we call these as happy months. Only if you love the Halloween and Christmas holidays, and the perks that come with them. Other people call these as months of too much spending, most especially to our fellow adults with a bunch of children around them.
“Because one believes in oneself, one doesn’t try to convince others. Because one is content with oneself, one doesn’t need others’ approval. Because one accepts oneself, the whole world accepts him or her.”― Lao Tzu
Thank God, it’s Friday. FINALLY!!! This week has been really tiresome but fun and productive for me. I had so much work to do after being away for four days. The good news is that I’m starting to like the project I’m working on with one of my clients. In fact, I’m really excited and passionate about it. It’s like a job, a passion and a social life put in one project. <3 I love it when I get to meet a like-minded person(s). You know, someone who is not only a reflection of your soul but also appreciates your individuality, trusts you and believes in what you are capable of. And I truly appreciate it, especially nowadays, the majority of the people focus more on spreading negativity than positivity. That’s why I’m really doing my best to keep this project not just because it gives me a buck but also because it’s something I love doing. Plus, the client’s personality blends with mine perfectly.
“Times like this were special. Memory builders. When something extraordinary happened to a person the kind of things remembered forever after it didn’t have to be a life-changing event like a graduation or marriage or birth of a child. It more often was the small things. The sheer joy of summer sunlight on a fragrant flower. The giggle of a toddler. The brush of a lover’s fingertips. And the person marks the moment with the flashing insight thinking… This is special. I should remember this” ― Sandra Hill
